Wroclaw is the fourth largest city in Poland and counts 664,000 people. The city is located on the Odra, not only on both banks but also twelve islands in the river, and has 130 bridges. Many visitors compare Wroclaw with Krakow, but on a slightly smaller scale. The fact is that the attractions of the city are discovered by more and more people.
Wroclaw is a city with a long, hectic history. This is clearly reflected in the many different influences in the city. The influences of Bohemia, Austrians and Prussians are most clearly visible. You will find many beautiful Gothic churches, mansions in Renaissance style and palaces in baroque.
Not without a reason they chose Wroclaw as European Capital of Culture in 2016.
